Crop and Straighten Example

Image
To make this edit, I first opened the Photoshop program. I clicked the file button at the top and then clicked the ''open'' button. I selected the photo I saved and it opened in the program. On the left side, there are tools you can use to edit the photo and I chose the crop option. Now, at the top, options appear for the crop tool. After clicking on ratio I chose ''square'' (1:1) allowing me to crop a square out of the photo. When I cropped it the way I wanted, I went back to the top and clicked on the little icon that looks like a bag with the word ''straighten'' next to it. I then clicked on the left side of the water horizon and drew a straight line along the water horizon to the right. It now tilted the photo a little to straighten it. In the picture you can see the things that are related to me: Glasses: Because I wear them and I thought they would fit in well between the books in this picture because the two items are in my view a bit related. Writing utensils: Because I love to: write down creative thoughts that come to my mind sometimes, draw and create stories. The envelope: Because I am one of the few people that still writes cards and sent them, mostly to people in Holland. I think a card has a more deeper meaning than a text. The stack of books and the bookmark: Because I love reading books, especially mystery books. It also helps me to better my second language skills: English. The planner: Because it gives me a good feeling when I write down the things I have to do for the day so I don't have to remember them. It keeps me organized.

About the Artist

Image
I am born and raised in Amsterdam in the Netherlands with my parents, brother and little sister. In Holland, I loved to hang out in the meadow behind the place I lived. It was a beautiful place to take pictures or go for a bike ride, so that's what I usually did when it was spring. We moved to the United States in May 2018. I always enjoy to be busy doing something creative like drawing or painting, but going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do. Nature and cultural spots mostly inspire me to take pictures. I capture breathtaking views that I need to share with others and can't be forgotten
