Retouch Example

Image
To make this edit I used the tool on the left of the Photoshop program called ''spot healing brush tool''. (2 buttons under the crop tool) I zoomed in on the photo to see what exactly on her skin needed to go and made my circle smaller with the brackets. I gently brushed away the zit she had and that spot filled up with the skin on the background.

Saturation and Masking Example

Image
What I did to create this photo is to do the basics first: crop, straighten and adjust the brightness (in this case auto). Then I went to the little icon below (the black and white circle), clicked on hue/saturation, and adjusted just the saturation until I liked it. To let the background pop but leave the subject unedited you can choose the brushtool, click the crooked arrow to black and mask the subject. You can adjust the brush size with the brackets on the keyboard and the size of your picture with control + or -. A handy tool when doing this edit is to click the button all on the right next to the brackets on your keyboard. It makes whatever you mask red so you can see what you already masked.
